Filmore!
Genre: hyperpop, punk, hip-hop and electronic noise
Filmore! is the shapeshifting project of Irish artist Max Zanga, crafting immersive worlds that blur music, performance and visual art. Filmore! fractures genre into something unstable, fusing hyperpop, punk, hip-hop and electronic noise.
Existing as both artist and character, the project leans into satire and distortion to probe power, violence and digital identity. His 2026 work Brainrott descends into the chaos of online culture, searching for meaning in its collapse.
“A nostalgia-fuelled meld of hyperpop and 2000s MTV-era pop/punk”
“Marrying DnB-inspired breaks with elements of rock, whilst also sharing DNA with the growls of JPEGMAFIA.”
